Centrally located with top-notch amenities, the hotel impresses guests with its professional service and varied, high-quality breakfast. However, some find it overpriced for the value offered.

Best hotel in all of Armenia in every way The finest hotel in all of Armenia. The service is always 5 star. As odd as it may be to say, one of my favorite hotels in the world despite not being a tourist destination of any sort. The finest cheesecake on the planet. Truly, beyond words. Restaurant on top is like 2-star Michelin quality. Fine food, white table cloths and above all, PIANO PLAYER for breakfast. Breathtaking experiences there every time.

Bad Customer Service Hotel Service Staff are not very hospitable. Not the kind of service standards you would expect from a brand that associates themselves with Luxury / 5 Stars. Never once were we greeted at the reception. We were also under pressure to be out of the hotel before check out time of 12 noon. Housekeeping was already knocking on our door at 11am to ask if we were ready to leave. Overall quite an unpleasant experience as we came to this hotel with very high expectations.

My stay at The Alexander Hotel in Yerevan started with high hopes, as the staff initially showed good intentions and a willingness to help during a challenging time (back injury). However, after 10 days, I’ve experienced repeated mismanagement and poor execution, which have greatly impacted my overall impression. For New Year’s Eve, we arranged with the concierge to have food we ordered delivered, plated by room service, for a more elegant dining experience. This took at least six calls to coordinate. Despite the effort, the food arrived in its delivery packaging. After complaining, they eventually brought it plated—but 40 minutes later, and obviously it was cold. Breakfast has also been a constant source of confusion. Despite ordering in-room breakfast daily, we still don’t understand what is included in the room service breakfast or what the charges should be. It seems to vary depending on who takes or prepares the order. This lack of consistency is frustrating and far from what you’d expect from a hotel of this category. While the staff seem well-intentioned and eager to please, their execution is often times chaotic. The handling of our airport transfer was another disappointment. Despite detailed confirmations about needing a sedan with reclining seats due to a back injury, they provided a Fiat van with no reclining seats. After excuses and a blame game, we ended up using Yandex and leaving in a proper sedan we booked ourselves. The overarching theme of my stay has been a disconnect between intentions and execution. While the staff’s friendliness is evident (special mention to the bellhops team, amazing people), the miscommunication, inconsistency, and occasional sense of greed from management make it hard to recommend The Alexander without significant reservations. A hotel of this brand, at these prices, with these nice facilities, deserves better management for sure.

I recently had an accident during my stay in Armenia and arrived at The Alexander Hotel carried by ambulance! From the very first contact, the hotel staff have been nothing short of amazing. Even before I checked in, they prepared everything in advance to ensure I was welcomed in the best possible condition. Since my arrival, the team has gone above and beyond to make my convalescence as smooth and comfortable as possible. They assisted me in reaching my room with great care and continue to accommodate all my requests with incredible kindness and efficiency. Their professionalism, empathy, and genuine attention to detail have turned a challenging situation into a much more manageable experience. The exceptional service and care I am receiving make me feel truly supported during my recovery. I cannot recommend The Alexander Hotel enough—not only for its luxury and comfort but for its extraordinary team who truly go the extra mile for their guests.

Wonderful stay from beginning to end. First time in armenia and the service is top notch. Everyone is extremely helpful from the doormen to the restaurant to the pool attendants. Really felt the warmth of the Armenian people. They coordinated well with our amazing tour guides Anahit and Hayk to make it a seamless experience. Very happy to have received a fruit basket and the breakfast each morning is incredible in terms of variety, taste and of course service.

As a member of Marriott Bonvoy, I usually pick Marriott-run hotels when I travel. This one is the most expensive I stayed at in Armenia. The service is very good. The location is too - close to many points of discovery. It has two exits - one to Northern Avenue, and one to Abovyan street, which is the main one. The rooms are of decent size but could be a little bigger, considering the price. Breakfast is probably the best hotel breakfast I have tried in Armenia.
